BR2: Book of Shadows

In
, Cate Tiernan's book, "Book of Shadows," a precise character projects more than most; the character of Cal Blaire. Cal, the new guy in the town, moves to Widow's Vale with his mother Selen, hoping to find his "Muirn beatha dan," the one whose power seduces Cal to stay in  Widow's Vale for the taking. Cate describes Cal as a quit viril young man, continue my interest to meet him. When Cal had come to Widow's Vale High, I would hope to be his first and last aqcuaintance.
Walking up to Widow's Vale High for the hundreth time, I noticed an unfamiliar stranger. He must be a newby. He's very good looking, just looking at him makes my heart flutter. I should go introduce myself.
"Hello, my name is Megan, you must be new here, I've never seen you around."
He would say, "Hello.. Megan, my name is Cal Blaire and  yes I am new," with an iresistable smile.
"Well it is nice to meet you Cal."
"As it is to meet you as well, what grade are you in?"
"I'm a junior, you?
With frown, "Hmm..too bad I'm aa senior, we won't have any classes together."
"Oh well I'm in a few classes with some seniors, Pre Cal and Spanish III."
"Oh I have those classes too, what period do you have them?
"Ah.. I have Pre Cal 3A and Spanish 2B."
"Oh.." with a revived smerk, "I guess we will have class together."
I almost thought my heart stopped. My checks glared red like a brake light, and then I see my best friend, Sierra, walking towards Cal and me.
"Hey what's up?" Directed to me.
"Ah just being friendly." After about 10 seconds of us three staring at each other, "oh, this is my best friend Sierra. Sierra this is Cal, he's new."
"Oh cool," she said. Then the bell started ringing for everyone to hurry to class.
"Well nice to meet you Cal, come one we don't want get to chemistry," said Sierra.
"Mkay."
As we started walking to chemistry, I heard Cal's voice behind me, "hope I see you in class. "
Turning behind me, with a huge grin on my face, " yeah me too. " Then we all walk to her first class for the day.

The ending of the "Book of Shadows" has a vivid ending, an ending that did not necessarily need to be changed; however, to change the ending I would remove the sentence,"...seeing the big picture, not just a part of it," which lies at the very end of the book. The new ending would be: "In that moment of sheer happiness I didn't question what being a blood witch meant to me or my family or what Cal and I being together meant to Bree or Raven or anyone else. It would be my first lesson in magick, and it would be hard learned: dealing with unexpected situations and letting those situations reveal who you are as a person or a witch, even, without your realization, if it means hurting the ones you love and care about.

Topic of choice: Music

Music flows with the wind, clashing into drumming cliffs, and echoing sweet voices, swarming together in a mass, sweeping the sands of time from stone clams lost at sea, forcing their mouths to free the stillness, to reveal the very essence of pearls; pearls that have hidden for so long from the world beyond the hushed waters of life.

A few Genres of Music: rap, pop, hop, country, classical, Spanish, Indie, metal, heavy metal, screamo, emo, jazz, blues, folk, goth, disco, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, R&B, rock, retro, dub-step, Christian, alternative and so much more.

Music equals poetry, being music and poetry are literary poems that deal with the emotions or ideas of a particular individual, regarding a particular instance or situation. Poetry verses and song lyrics often follow a rhyming scheme, giving a sense of melody.

Music can stand for someone(s), with someone(s), against someone(s), about someone, to someone(s) or music can stand for cause(s). People express their emotions to the world through song, and when someone listens do that song, they too will express an emotion.

Most people say "music is good for the soul," but music can be good for the mind as well. Facts have been know that if someone has their baby listen to a lot of classical music, such as Beethoven, Mozart or Chopin, then their baby will grow up genuinely intelligent.

CC#3 Vt. Student's '85 DUI Death Leaves Positive Legacy

In Wilson Rings article he informs of Jane emily Clymer, a student of Vermont University, who was killed by a drunken driver in 1985, and how Janes unfortunate event has helped some women in college.

Jane Clymer "died a day after she was hit by a drunken driver while she was walking with her bike along a highway in rural Chittenden County." Since her death, scholarships have been made women who have lost loved ones from a drunk driver or from any driver.

After Janes death, the Clymer family "were eligible to collect punitive damages under the state's dram shop law, which holds bar owners and employees responsible if they serve a customer too much liquor. A year later, the bars agreed to the $250,000 settlement." The settlement issued more concern for bar owners and bar employees over dealing with intoxicated drivers.

The Jane emily Clymer Scholarship "is for junior women in the College of Arts and Sciences who have documented financial need, shown academic promise and demonstrated service to others." The Jane Clymer scholarship will help women who have lost loved ones like the Clymber family to move farther in life in college after their loss.

The Jane Emily Clymber Scholarship has influenced many women in college though; if the time had not been for Jane Clymber's unfortunate event, these woman would not had been influenced by the Jane Scholarship.

"If I Stay" By: Gayle Forman

Gayle Forman's marvelous book "If I Stay" left my heart in tears from the horrid details and depressing but unique thoughts.

"If I Stay" prevails readers of life, death, family, and so much more to understand. The theme shows an ordinary teenager's life that literally crashes before their eyes, teaching that life is a mystery book, you never know what will happen.

Gayle's style is almost too real, she writes as if the situation actually happened, as if Mia a real person. She continues the characters thought and emotions as though they are absoluting thinking the thoughts and feeling the emotions, additionally summating the same thoughts or feelings to the readers instinct.

Mia is a quiet high school student who makes good enough grades, plays the cello, loves classical music, and has a wonderful family. Her fun, ex-rocker parents still retain enough of their music loving ways to still be “cool” and her adorable little brother, Teddy, may be bratty but adores his big sister with all of his heart. Mia's "Mom always said that it was because Teddy saw me first, and because I cut his cord, that somewhere deep down he thought I was his mother. “It’s like those goslings,” Mom joked. “Imprinting on a zoologist, not the mama goose, because he was the first one they saw when they hatched.”
Mia is also dating the popular high school rock star, Adam, who is her complete opposite and of course, there are some issues with that. But they are beautiful together, Adam does not care that Mia has different interests than him. Adam shows his careness when he tels Mia, “… the you who you are tonight is the same you I was in love with yesterday, the same you I’ll be in love with tomorrow. I love that you’re fragile and tough, quiet and kick-ass. Hell, you’re one of the punkest girls I know, no matter who you listen to or what you wear.”

The setting mostly takes place in the hospital, where Mia's body is actually located however; the book all starts with the crash, with all four of the family members in the car, Mia stanking on the road side staring down at her mother, her father, no sign of Teddy and herself, in the cold wet ditch, which leads to the biggest decision of Mia's life, Should she go with her parents? Or should she go with Teddy?

I can connect with this book for I too have lost family members greatly dear to me, connecting to every person in the world for they have all lost someone in their life.

If I were whomever recommends book, this book would forever be a top seller. I definatly recommend "If I Stay"! Read this book to find out whether Mia will stay with her parents, or stay with Teddie.

Essay: My American Dream

My American dream consists of opening an eight story building that acquires, from top to bottom: a restaurant, a culinary floor, a floor for designers, a floor for photo maniacs, a floor where people can go to study, to relax, a floor for poets, a floor for musicians, and the top floor for artists to paint the skies, to sculpt skyscrapers Bringing all these talents together in one building to aspire a great idea from one another, to open a guilt free world for anyone who needs peace, relaxation, simple thinking for their life, is my American dream.

Striving to become a lawyer, I actually had not considered what exactly it takes to become a lawyer; how hard they have to work to succeed in the process of becoming an employee of the law, what schooling they have to acquire, all the reading they must analyze; their limits inside the court, I realized I didn't want to be a lawyer anymore. Lawyers usually make a heap of money, which really was the main reason for the baseless appeal, to bring a huge paycheck home, to provide highly for my future family though; I would not be content with law.

Music, the recreation serenity to me, was my life, still continues my life, furthermore the true sensation to me. Singing also evolved with my love of music, the bottom line to becoming a famous musician however; because I am vaguely hesitant when it comes to singing, only four people have actually heard me sing, sliming my chances of ever becoming a musician. Besides the fact of me being a loner singer, observing the celebrity life, being greatly famous meant having a few obsessed people who would do just about all to get to that celebrity, including everyone knowing their life with the paparazzi, this would arrange great depression.

Music, art, poetry, photography, cooking, baking, designing are my greatest interests, including bringing people to their peace of mind, to their complete tranquility. My dream prevails to open an accommodation for everyone, to come, to go, enjoying life with family, friends, new acquaintances. Everyone needs a break in life, a day just for them, to acquire all they have to acquire, to discover their dreams.

After my horrendous journey to discovering my true potential, cooking, I soon discovered there contains no importance to how much money a person brings home, how many big shiny, new toys they have however; all that should be important is how happy that person continues to be with their life.
